You would think with it being the fourth of July only a couple of days ago that I would have been able to capture a read, white or blue photo . . . I had purchased my girls these adorable shirts and hair wraps. I even made some banners to hang and had a couple other festive items for a mini photo shoot. However, Iwas out of town and then in town for one day and then out of town again. I thought I would get some photos while we were out of town, but it was pouring buckets of rain where we were. Alas, no festive photos for me. Le sigh...

Thankful For Home

Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving, a time to gather with our family and friends to specifically thank God for the many blessings we enjoy each and every day. Our small family has many things to be thankful for . . . a good job, a beautiful home, healthy children, wonderful grandparents, beautiful friends{on the inside too}, the opportunity to homeschool and so much more. We have an aattitude of graditude this week.

May the Lord continually BLESS YOU with Heaven's blessings as well as with human joys. Psalm 128:5

Been Busy This Week
♥ Orange The children and I went to the pumpkin patch last Friday and then by Monday we were all sick. Two of my kiddos were on the mend before our little outing and then full on sick again after school on Monday. By Wednesday we were all a miserable mess. My little one had to be put on a breathing machine to help her get through the day and everyone is on heavy antibiotics to get over the worst of these colds. I'm happy to say that tonight we are feeling better, but most of us still have lingering heavy coughs (me included). Here is the Dragon Pumpkin Eater at the pumpkin farm.

Fall Fun Days

I can't believe I was actually fully prepared for this week's challenge! My week has been crazy . . . returning from a very busy weekend, sick children all week long, misplaced homework assignment, found homework assignments, party planning, school outings and all while trying to keep my house clean, clothes washed and dinner on the table! Don't even ask me if I have had time for a shower, which by the way I have, but my hair is another story!

Here is my take on this week's challenges . . .

It has been raining here on and off for the past day or so and it was so easy to capture some water dripping around my house.

Yellow & Purple

So I feel as if I have been away from Scavenger Sunday for-EVER! Even though it has only been a couple of weeks. We've been mad busy around these parts as the  hustle and bustle of school continues. Fall in the midwest is a busy place to live. There is so much to do and so much to see during this beautiful transition time of year.

Plus, we've been celebrating some birthdays around these parts.  I now have a nine year old daughter and she had such a blessed day. I hit a landmark age as well . . . 45. GAH! I don't even want to say that out loud! This birthday was tough on me. Each year my birthday has always been a great day of fun and laughter. But this year, I was not laughing much and I really wasn't that happy. I don't know what it is, 45 just seems like such a dreadful age! My father never made it to this age and it makes me sad to think that I feel so young still, yet I know so many people who have passed by this age as well. Just dire thoughts I know.

Anyway, I am back in the swing of things with hundreds of photos to edit and only a few to show here this week.

We Are Going Insane

I honestly do not know what is going on in our house . . . we are so insanely busy I feel like I am never home. If we are home, I am rushing about to get back out of the house. This summer is passing us by so quickly and I don't know where it has gone off too.

Can you believe we begin school in five short weeks! Although my children do not really get a 100% break from school during the summer. I did give them all a two week reprieve from any and all things associated with math, science and all the other mandatory educational subjects. I still make my kiddos read daily and we started Bible Bee at the beginning of the summer as well.

We are currently back on our summer school schedule of tutoring once a week and daily math and grammar, as well as reading and Bible Bee. The little poppets are so used to our summer of schooling, they dont' know anything else. My little one told me the other day she wished we were back in school because she missed it. This made my heart sing a bit. Although, I don't know how I would ever fit in school right now because we have so many other activities planned for the rest of the month!
