Ziplining Through Costa Rica Rain Forest

Visit Costa Rica for an unforgettable adventure. The best time to visit Costa Rica is from mid-December to April (the dry season). This peak tourist season boasts plenty of sunshine making it an ideal time for family vacation with your kids during spring break.

Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica is one of the best destinations in Central Pacific region that offers a variety of small intimate hotels built into a rainforest hillside between the lovely little town and the ever popular Manuel Antonio National Park. We stayed in a villa built right into the landscape, with birds, crabs and a sloth as our neighbor!

We are currently in Costa Rica and I simply had to share some of the stunning photos I have been able to take whist here. We took a unique tour through a rain forest and it was A-mazing! Driving to the rain forest we had to go through a working plantation. The plantation is for African palms. The locals live and work in the plantations and rain forest. These are the oxen used to carry the palms and fruit.

While zip lining, my little one would get stuck in the middle, well, actually she would almost make it to the end and then zip back to the middle and would be in need of a rescue. Here is one guide to her rescue. She loved it because she was able to zip more than anyone else.

The tour we took in Costa Rica through a rain forest was truly an amazing experience. My children were troopers hiking through the terrain, zip lining, repelling, standing hundreds of feet in the air on platforms high up the clouds, see jungle life in the canopy, swinging across platforms was a very unique (and frightening) experience.

I hope my children carry these memories with them for a very long time. If you ever happen to visit Costa Rica, be sure to go to Manuel Antonio's most popular adventure sport, the canopy zip line. It is an experience not soon forgotten!
