Family Decorating Traditions

From holiday photos, to decorating the Christmas tree, and the grand finale of Christmas morning, Christmas traditions offer great ways to enjoy the holiday season. It is always fun to see how friends and family decorate for the holidays.

Thanksgiving may be over but creating family traditions is still in full season. Some of my favorite traditions with my family are decorating the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving and hanging all our stockings. During this holiday season we are visiting all our favorite friends, going to Christmas light festivals and concerts all over the city, baking cookies and hosting cookie exchanges. All the while during this season, we are indulging in holiday treats and snacks and eating way too many of these delicious holiday sweets and treats.

My favorite treat to eat during the holiday season is my Chocolate Pecan Pie. My daughter will eat a slice of Chocolate Pecan Pie for breakfast every morning after Thanksgiving until the pie is gone. Because, why not have pie for breakfast! We’re creating memories here!

We all know the Thanksgiving pies and snacks last for days and really spill over into the cookie baking season of Christmas during this holiday season of spreading joy. While these treats make their way into our mouths and tummies, we need to remember to be extra vigilant with our teeth and gums during this season of indulging in treats and sweets. Remember, we’re eating Chocolate Pecan Pie for breakfast here!

That’s why it is so important to make sure we are all using a toothpaste with extra protection during this season of creating memories during our Family Decorating Traditions this last month of the year. Our Advent Calendars are ready to be opened and there is an extra chocolate sweet there each day. While I love these special calendars for my children, they all know they must eat their daily chocolate treat and then head to the bathroom.

I gifted an Advent Calendar to each of my children and they also received a box of Crest Pro-Health, an extra strength toothpaste, that protects their teeth whilst indulging in their favorite holiday tradition. Crest Pro-Health toothpaste helps my children have healthier gums and stronger teeth with added benefits that help protect against specific areas their dentist check.

While at Target this holiday season grabbing yearly matching pajamas, holiday cards, ornaments and extra holiday lights, be sure to grab a couple of boxes of Crest Pro-Health toothpaste too.

If you didn’t know already, Crest Pro-Health toothpaste is the only toothpaste accepted by the American Dental Association to treat these issues:

 Plaque

 Gingivitis

 Cavities

 Sensitivity

 Tartar

 Whitening

 Freshens Breath

We have so many more memories to make this season like creating our gingerbread house, baking more cookies, and send out our holiday card, before we read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas and set out cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer. We are strengthening the family bond this season and adding to the rhythm and seasonality of life for our children.

Creating Family Decorating Traditions is something I hope my children always carry on when they are adults. Family Decorating Traditions during this holiday season give my children a bond to our little family, to my family and to my husband’s family. We are giving our children comfort, security and teaching them values. We are passing on our heritage and connecting all the generations of our family. We are creating lasting memories.
