In this Elections Unit Study Lesson Plan, students are introduced to the presidential elections in the United States of America. They will learn what a constitutional democracy is and how the government develops its power from the consent of its citizens.

Students will understand the important principles of the U.S. Constitution, the foundations of government, and the importance of civic participation. Voting and elections are an essential part of USA democracy.
