We've Officially Begun!

So, our school year has officially begun! We are back to school in our house! Even though we did school during the summer months, it was very relaxed and there was no set time schedule. Now, however, that is another story. No more late sleepy mornings for us {well, sort of}.

My children and I are certainly not early morning people so we don't have to get up at 6:00 am as normal school families would. Although once a week we do, if that makes any sense at all. My two oldest attend a homeschool co-op on Mondays and we do {sadly} have to get up very early.

They started their co-op on Monday and I was a bit nervous dropping them off. I knew my son would do well and adapt right back into the schedule as he attended this co-op last year. This was my daughters first year at this particular co-op (but it the same location as her co-op last year {they operate two different co-ops on different days}) and I was worried for her as she has some anxiety issues.  When I picked them up from school, she ran to me with a huge smile on her face and jumped into my arms. {no worries need indeed!}

They both exclaimed they had the best day! That expression made this homeschooling momma happy and proud! Yesterday, however, my daughter let me know she hated this co-op now as we were working through a heavy day of school work assigned {the co-op assigns all work to be completed at home}.

The transition will take about six weeks or so, but we will get back in the swing of things real soon.

I'll have our 2012-2013 curriculum up soon as well as our classroom.
