He Looks Like A Monkey

I have been so busy this week, it's really a bit insane. For instance, right now, I should really be in bed. But, I'm editing some photos for clients and thought to get this post up before I went to bed. Because, really, it's not like I'm going to sleep. If you know me, you know, I don't sleep well or ever. It's a bit absurd at this point.

The weather has been quite brisk this week and that puts all my allergies in full swing. I seem to tolerate the summer months the best. But once the temperature hits below 50, I am miserable. Back to inhalers all day long and loads of other nonsense. I'm not looking forward to this winter. I loathe winter. I really do. It just sort of makes me die a bit inside. Each year that passes, it seems to sap a bit more out of me. I'm constantly cold, coughing and other silliness. I've been begging my husband to find another job . . . I think he thought I would eventually give up . . . I'm not.

Before the weather really took a turn and made me hibernate, I took the kiddos out for some photos. I had not taken the three of them together since our back to school shots and wanted to get some fall photos in. My son was being less than cooperative and actually said to me before you left. "I'm sick of you dressing me like a monkey". Well then, really, a monkey. I guess living in sweatpants and hoodies all day makes you less of a monkey. Who knew? He did not want to participate, which is usually the case. But I can always seem to coax him into having some fun. Not that afternoon. Oh my word, he was a stinker. H was mad at me and in no uncertain terms was he going to smile for me or get near his sisters. It was a disaster. I was ready to poke my eyes out with a skewer!

My girls are dream models on the other hand and I could shoot them all day long.

On the way back to where we had parked, I was finally able to get him pose nicely for me . . . but he still wouldn't let me fix his hair.

Does he look like a monkey?

I didn't think so either.
