Week In Review

Summer officially started last Sunday (the21st), which fell on Father's Day this year.

We had a family celebration here at my house with some delicious food and a birthday celebration for my baby girl. Who is no longer a baby and has now even passed the toddler phase. (boo hoo on my part). I have never had a three year old without having another baby in my arms. Literally, I don't know what to do with myself now!blowing out the candles on her small princess cake

This next phase of Momma-hood for me will be a challenge I think. I have always loved and excelled at being a momma to babies, but I had the most fun with my 'older' children this past week. No running home for feedings or naps . . . no searching for clean bathrooms to change diapers. This is the first summer in 7 years that I have not been changing diapers or nursing a baby/toddler. And let me say, what fun we have had. I have been able to relax and just enjoy my children and their giggles and cuddles. Swimming at the club is so much easier this summer!

Monday morning I usually have an I ♥ Faces photo entry, but this week I am not participating. This is terrible to say, but I am getting frustrated with entering a photo each week . . . one that I work on for hours sometimes . . . one that I think is really good, no I take that back . . . one, that I think is really fabulous and nothing, nada, not even in the top ten. For real? Not once in over 6 months? So I am taking a break to ease my frustrated brain.

I decided not to go visit my brother on Saturday . . . well, he sort of asked me not to come anyway. I was sad because I haven't seen him in almost a year (even though we speak on the phone almost daily), but happy that I did not have to drive 9 hours round trip! My brother has been going through an awful separation(for the past few years now) and . . . WOW! That is all I can say. I just keep reminding him that according to the Bible, marriage is a lifetime commitment, which he agrees with 100%, however, his wife is the one who does not want to keep up with the counseling, yet she does not want to get a divorce OR (this is big) live together.

Live happily with the woman you love through all the meaningless days of life that God has given you in this world. The wife God gives you is your reward for all your earthly toil

Ecclesiastes 9:9 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

I joined the fundraising committee at my son's school and have been busy with information overload and flyers and you know how everyone has an assignment and then the deadline looms and no one has completed their assignments but you and then you are the only one left doing everyone else's tasks? Well, that is where I am this week, again.
