Finally, An Eczema Treatment that Works
I was diagnosed with eczema at a very young age and have been scratching my skin off since then. I used to have to wrap my arms from wrists to elbow in order to keep from scratching when I was in elementary school. Since the exact cause of eczema is still a mystery, there is not a cure.
Nearly 35 million Americans suffer from eczema-related symptoms and I happen to be one of them. Sadly, all three of my children also have eczema. My youngest daughter has had patches since she was a baby and of late, the rashes have been quite bad. My son and my oldest daughter have a less severe version of eczema, but nonetheless, suffer the same.
1-3% of adults, and 10-20% of children. Seventy percent of cases start in children younger than 5 years old, and about 60% of infants who have eczema continue to have one or more symptoms in adulthood
Eczema is a chronic problem, so we will have this skin condition for the rest of our lives (likely). It leaves our skin dry, itchy, rough, scaling and sometimes peeling and very red and irritated. I happen to be red-headed, fair skinned, have severe asthma, severe allergies and severe eczema. My kiddos are not red heads, but all fair skinned and all have allergies, asthma and eczema. Since they all have the same afflictions, I am a firm believer that this is hereditary.
I'm not sure if our allergies cause our eczema or if our eczema causes our allergies (our doctors aren't very clear on this issue either). But, what we do know is that we are all allergic to mold, dust, pollen and fungi. It's quite odd how these things all sort of trigger one another.
Over the past few decades of my life I have literally tried every available over the counter lotion, cream or oil available. I have tried prescription lotions and creams and have even tried the natural path. I have taken OTC and prescription antihistamines and antibiotics to alleviate the symptoms and the rashes. The cost, the inconvenience, and the side effects of doctors, prescription drugs, the invasive treatments and OTC treatments are sadly a part of my everyday life.
I have even used Topical Steroid Creams in the past for myself and my daughters; however, these topical steroids become less effective after long term use and we end up needing a more powerful one to achieve the same results. Additionally, with topical steroid creams, we are only able to apply for a select number of days and then discontinue use for a select number of days. In between the usage of the topical steroids, the eczema rashes return with a full vengeance.
GOLD BOND® Ultimate Eczema Relief Lotion has Colloidal Oatmeal, which soothes eczema and breaks the itch-scratch cycle. The steroid-free, patented formula blends colloidal oatmeal, 7 moisturizers, and 3 vitamins to relieve itch, dryness, scaling/peeling, roughness, and redness/irritation. GOLD BOND® Ultimate Eczema Relief Lotion is accepted by the National Eczema Association. Colloidal Oatmeal is a prove treatment to relieve symptoms associated with eczema such at itching.
The rough, red, irritated skin was cleared up and she would then forget to use the GOLD BOND® Ultimate Eczema Relief Lotion everyday. If she uses the lotion every single day, it helps the rashes consistently stay away. However, she is a child and she does forget, so she does get rash flare-ups. I am really trying to reinforce her use of this lotion every single day.
I recently began to leave bottles and tubes by every sink and tub in my home and I put small tubes in everyone's backpacks. I don't know how vigilant my kids will be at school with applying the GOLD BOND® Ultimate Eczema Relief Lotion, so I do expect their flare-ups to return as the schools use soaps that really irritate our skin.
If you suffer from eczema, add GOLD BOND® Ultimate Eczema Relief Lotion to your skin care regimen. It is clinically tested and you will feel significant skin improvements in just two weeks. Try GOLD BOND® Ultimate Eczema Relief Lotion for two weeks and see how much relief from dryness, scaling, and roughness you experience. We have had significant relief from our eczema rashes and we are looking forward to an itch-scratch free winter here in Chicago.
