Edible Chocolate

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip

makes about 1 1/2 cups

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup butter

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 8-ounce block of cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cups chocolate chips  {Times 2}

INSTRUCTIONS

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and whisk until the sugar dissolves and mixture starts to bubble. Whisk in the vanilla.

Cream together cream cheese and powdered sugar for 60 seconds in a separate bowl. With mixer on low speed, add in brown sugar and butter mixture.

{At this time you can either OPT to let your butter/brown sugar/vanilla mixture cool OR add it to your cream cheese/powdered sugar mixture while it is still hot} I opted to add the mixtures together while my butter mixture was still hot as I wanted the chocolate chips to melt in order to have Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip.

If you want original Chocolate Cookie Dough Dip, simply wait for the butter mixture to completely cool OR your chocolate chips will melt.

Mix until combined. Let cool. Once completely cooled, add another 3/4 cup chocolate chips and mix or fold together.

Garnish with additional chopped chocolate.

Serve with your favorite simple pleasures, vanilla wafers, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, teddy grahams, really, whatever works!. I prefer mine with graham crackers!

Try really hard not to eat the entire bowl before you even get to your party or gathering!
