What is the favorite activity of the summer on a hot Chicago day? Head to the waterpark of course. Magic Waters is located just off I-90 near Rockford in the Chicagoland area. On Wednesdays, it is $12 Bargain Day - which is perfect for me and my three little people.
Presently, Magic Waters is running an online special - Save up to 50% off regular admission to Magic Waters Waterpark. A $13 ticket is valid for one admission during the months of August and September 2015. This is an ONLINE ONLY offer. Offer ends Wednesday, August 19, 2015. this is awesome for your family to fit in a family fun day before school starts! Don't forget about $12 Bargain Wednesdays either!
Magic Waters Waterpark features 10 attractions such as the Typhoon Terror, The Abyss, Paradise Pipelines, The Double Dare Drop Speed Slide(75 feet of a speeding slide) or Tsunami Bay, which is the largest wave pool in Illinois AND my kids favorite spot to chill at Magic Waters!!
Don't forget to experience the thrill of Splash Blaster Water Coaster Ride or just relax on the 1,200 ft Splash Magic River -- my little one absolute will roll along on the river all day long if I will let her. If you have small people in your family, there is a spot for you as well, the Tiki Island is a tot's water paradise where 1,000 gallon pineapple water bucket spills throughout the day.
FOOD AND FRILLS
There is fun for the entire family! You are welcome to bring a cooler along as well. Yep- Magic Waters allows you to bring in your own drinks and snacks. However, if you are like me and have no intentions of packing a lunch to bring along, grab lunch like we did at Ocho's Cantina for my husband and the kids and I ate at Coconut Cafe. We also visited the Snack Shack, Dippin' Dots and the Lazy Lizard a couple of times. They even have fruit smoothies at the thirsty Turtle. You will not be lacking for anything, just visit any of the food and frills locations.
There are also options to add on such as cabana rentals. Magic Waters have Basic and Luxury Private Cabanas, Blaster Bungalows and Shade Chalets. But if you are not interested in any of these rentals, there is plenty of spots to grab for your family to lay their towels.
There is always free parking at Magic Waters and if you forgot your sunscreen, well they have you covered there as well just visit the Mai Tiki Surf Shop to see what you can pick up if you forget anything else as well.
