Fall Into Savers

I'm going to be honest here and say that I am not a good thrift store shopper. I don't know where to start and end up roaming about not knowing what to do. I find that thrift stores are not particularly organized and I don't really understand the system.

I recently had the opportunity to visit a local Savers and was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted upon entering the store and asked if I needed any assistance. I said that I did as this was my first visit to a Savers. The layout of the store was explained to me by a very friendly team member and I was off.

The Savers I visited was very cohesive and I did not have any trouble navigating through the store. There were team members throughout the store and I was able to have questions answered by very the very friendly staff.

My girls wanted to check out the books first, so that is where we headed. They were lined up nicely on shelves and we were able to locate some wonderful books to add to our collection. The girls were even able to snaffle a board game, much to their delight, that has long since not been available on any other store shelves.

I use a variety of different props in my photography business. I was so excited to see rows of shelves of items that I could pick up for a fraction of the cost of what I have normally been paying for my props. I'm tucking Savers in my memory bank for my fall sessions that are fast approaching. The shelves were filled with current looks, select vintage finds, various housewares and collectibles, and a few unexpected treasures.

Savers is an international thrift retailer with more than 320 stores across the U.S. and Canada, and each store has more than 100,000 items on the sales floor at any given time and gets 5,000 new items every day.  In recent years, thrift shopping has become one of the fastest growing retail segments, allowing bargain-conscious shoppers to find clothes, accessories, home goods and truly unique treasures.
