Nectresse Natural No Calorie Sweetener

This post brought to you by NECTRESSE™Sweetener. All opinions are 100% mine.

The air about me these days is turning crisp and on a crisp fall day I like nothing beter than to settle in with a warm cup of tea. I have been drinking tea for years and years on cold afternoons and evenings and have always used honey in my tea as a sweetener.

But lately, I have decided to reduce the sugar and calories in my diet. I have decided to turn to sugar substitutes and sometimes the topic of sugar substitues can be confusing. I researched and discovered a product that I am not worried about using: NECTRESSE™Sweetener  NECTRESSE is the only  percent natural, zero calorie sweetener made from the goodness of real fruit -- monk fruit extract.

I like NECTRESSE as an sugar because they add virtually no calories to my diet.  In addition to my diet not being comprised with excess sugar, my children's diets are not in danger either. We only need a fraction compared with the amount of regular sugar we would normally use to make their fruit sweetener . My kiddos love sugar piled on their fresh fruit and now I simply open a packet of NECTRESSE and sprinkle a small amount on their fresh fruit and they are completely satisfied!

NECTRESSE can even be used in our home baking. My family loves cinnamon rolls. In fact, it is basically the only food my son will eat for breakfast these days. Making homemade cinnamon rolls is a chore, a huge long task that my kiddos love to participate in. We decided to replace the two cups of sugar we would normally use with NECTRESSE and go for the taste test.

Guess they passed the taste test!

  • Frozen Bread-thawed

  • Plenty Of Melted Butter
  • 2 cups NECTRESSE
  • Generous Sprinkling Of Cinnamon
  • 1 bag Powdered Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Flavoring
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Melted Butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

On a floured baking surface, roll the dough into a large rectangle. The dough should be rolled very thin. To make the filling, pour 3/4 cup to 1 cup of the melted butter over the surface of the dough. Use your fingers to spread the butter evenly. Generously sprinkle half of the ground cinnamon and 1 cup of the NECTRESSE over the butter. Roll the rectangle tightly towards you into one long roll. Make 1/2-inch slices. Pour a couple of teaspoons of melted butter into disposable foil cake pans and coat completely. Place the sliced rolls in the pans, being careful not to overcrowd. Cover all the pans with a towel and set aside to rise for approximately 15-20 minutes before baking. Bake for 15-20, until golden brown.

While the rolls are baking, make the vanilla icing. Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, butter, and salt. Add the vanilla flavoring. Whisk until smooth. {My secret here is that I usually double the icing} Remove pans from the oven. Immediately drizzle icing over the top.
