Since when do kids get sick in the summer . . .

We celebrated a little girl's birthday this past weekend and her only request was a trip to a waterpark.

We headed off to The Dells with the kiddos and were looking for some fun days ahead of us. We arrived in pouring rain and spent the afternoon and evening indoors. The next day, we woke to rain again, but by the afternoon the rain had cleared, but the sun was no where in sight. By evening, it was pouring again and the girls were running high temps. That night was brutal for those girls and me as I spent the night rubbing backs and holding hair high in the air. We were supposed to spent the next day there as well, but I thought it best to head home. Needless to say, I didn't bring enough empty garbage bags for the ride home. Not fun!

We are supposed to be in VBS this week, but my kids are sick. The girls are on the mend today, but my son is not in good shape. He has Science Camp this week and is devastated that he won't be able to go today. I'm hoping this will be a 24 hour bug for him, but based on the past 5 days, I don't see that happening.
