Are your kids all set for Halloween next week? My daughters literally plan out their costumes one year in advance. We purchased the costumes they will be wearing this year -- LAST year! They are hilarious! Last year, we purchased witch costumes, the brooms, the hats, the stocking - everything! Then a week before Halloween, they decided they no longer wanted to be witches. Go figure!
Do you know how hard it is to locate costumes a week before the actual day to trick or treat?! Well, we were able to find some costumes and last year they were Medieval Queens . . . we were studying about Henry VIII's wives - so I think that was the inspiration there.
Now, my youngest daughter has been planning out her costume for next year already. She is all prepared to go with blood and gore. But this year she is set with the witch costume. We only needed to purchase green face paint as she insists that witches have green faces . . . mainly I think the only witch she has ever seen is from the Wizard of Oz.
How does your family plan their costumes for Halloween? Do you as the parent dress up? I personally have never dressed up in a costume as a parent . . . although, I think my kids would think I am awesome or have lost my mind? When my son was younger, my husband would dress up with him and they had agreat time banging on doors together.
Speaking of witches . . . what is your favorite witch? Here are some of mine that are streaming this month on Netflix. Be afraid, Be very afraid!
