The Creation Museum is a museum that teaches families about the creation of the world in biblical terms instead of the theory that the world is billions of years old. There are exhibits for both the young and old there. The Creation Museum is not a museum where I will need to shhhsh my children and panic every time they reach out an arm to touch something. My children and I will walk among some dinosaurs, walk under some constellations, view rare Bible manuscripts and artifacts, check our some creepy crawly bugs, gaze upon some dragons and much, much more! We plan on doing all this and more on Friday and Saturday when we visit the Creation Museum.
The Stargazer’s Room features a Digistar 5 digital projection system—providing a full color, high-resolution environment that is truly awe-inspiring. Recline under the dome and let one of our shows take you soaring through the solar system or far beyond the Milky Way. Separate timed tickets are required for each show.
Six Days of Creation Theater
Travel 6,000 years into the past to view the dawn of history. Enjoy a dramatic reading of Genesis chapter one as the first Six Days of Creation are illuminated in this panoramic theater. This brief but powerful presentation will move you to consider the wonder and diversity of God’s Creation.
The Creation Museum is fairly large, but can be done in one to two day! We have our two days planned out and hope we can keep the children to our schedule (I really don’t see this happening). This Biblical based museum combines learning with fun, and that is its greatest claim to fame.
Dr. Crawley’s Insectorium is one of the many new exhibits that keep the Creation Museum fresh and exciting.
My children love bugs, butterflies and all sorts of insects that crawl and fly about, so I know this section will attract my children for quite a while.
My children are excited to see a variety of animals, including the zonkey, the zorse, and the wallabies. My girls are animal lovers and we are happy to let them spend some time with some of God’s amazing creatures.
I have a huge surprise for my two oldest children and they are going to be shouting in joy when they find out Saturday morning!
Children in 4th through 12th grades can enjoy an extensive workshop designed to teach international-style archery using lessons developed by the National Archery in Schools Program. During this program, children will learn eleven consecutive steps to follow to achieve life-long archery success. These steps will guide the archer from initial form on the shooting line, through execution and reflection of each shot.
The museum is very fitting for my family. We hope to see the contrast of science and religion. We hold theto traditional American ideology based on the Bible and the Creation Museum explains that science agrees with Biblical explanation of archeology and history. We teach this in our home and they learn this at our homeschool classroom. We are excited to spend the weekend at Creation Museum.
Creation Museum is a great museum to go to for a fabulous learning experience with your children and family. You don’t have to worry about your kids being quiet or not touching anything! Prices are $29.95 for adults and $15.95 for children.
