It's A Naked Christmas

I have to say I don't even remember this picture being taken. The date is November 2006. I know during that time period I was in the trenches of severly clogged milk ducts, repeated Masetitis, bloody nip*les, hypothyroidism (diagnosed during pregnancy, still have-kicks your arse in a major way), an angry husband, a five-month old baby with acid reflux, a very fiesty three year old daughter and an extremely gifted five year old son with SID (Sensory Integretation Disorder).

Don't ask me how I survived it, I don't even know. My house was still cleaned, albeit not everyday like hubbie was used too. (I hired a cleaning service every other week~she saved my sanity really) I served a lot of frozen pizza. I walked delicately for my burdened boobies where aching most days, for months on end. I didn't ask for help from anyone. The one time I did, I was berated for still breastfeeding. There was no other alternative for me. I am a breastfeeding momma, and that.is.it. I never really told my husband how much pain I was in. It amazes me that he didn't have a clue.

So this picture must have been taken by hubbie. I have no clue where I was. Laying down with a heating pad on one side and a baby on the other I am sure! He captured these two hooligans decorated the Christmas tree - naked! So funny! So cute! So hilarious! Especially when I drag it out in 20 years!! I will still be laughing!

ROFLOL! Funny boys! and I'm in pain just thinking about nursing troubles. It took me 4 kids to finally figure it out!

That is HILLARIOUS!!! Definitely one of those Black Mail pictures lmao. So sorry you had to go through all of that at the same time though. What a horrible way to prepare for the holidays.

Oh. my. goodness. That is a lot to deal with at one time! We had a year kind of like that. I don't remember much about it either...probably better that way!

Such a cute photo. That will be even funnier when you show their high school girl friends.

Love it!! That will make aome great blackmail in 20 years for sure.

That is so funny! I commend you for sticking with the BFing throughout all that. I had the same sort of problems when I had my first and I only lasted three months. With my son I did much better. I lasted 16 months:)

Definitely a good picture to bust out at those two's rehearsal dinners some day.

I'm glad you made it through the tough times in breastfeeding. I didn't have a horrible experience, but when my little one wouldn't quite finish her business I was miserable until the next feeding. I don't know how you put up with it.

Oh, my, goodness. That's what my house looks like right now when my daughter gets home from the pool. The bathing suit comes off and she doesn't put anything on until it's time for bed.

Your sons are awesome. The younger one looks like he's singing Christmas Carols. Going with kid mentallity, its always more fun when you can do things naked. I wonder if dad put them up to it?

I lOVE your header!

Such a fun photo...but I'm sorry about the breastfeeding woes...I LOVE breastfeeding...but I really think it should have been a MORE natural process...SO painful for those first few weeks and THEN if you have problems!!! So totally worth it in the end!

June 27, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterShelle

How cute are they? Maybe they are hoping Santa brings them new clothes for Christmas....
