Skin MD Natural Review & Giveaway

UPDATE: WINNER
nynekats, getting your emails Scott nynekats at aol dot com

I have really dry skin. Really dry, really sensitive and did I say really dry. This combination skin is also coupled with troublesome eczema. In the winter, my hands and feet crack in multiple places and sometimes my hands will even bleed. I've tried nearly every lotion on store counters in search of the perfect treatment for my dry, sensitive skin. As a child I was miserable and recall having my arms wrapped and bandaged to prevent me from itching my skin off.

My little one also has eczema, since she was a baby. Unfortunately for her, nothing over the counter seems to work. I currently use a prescription cream with steroids that works but I am not comfortable using it often. Skin MD responded to me and let me know about a recent press release Psoriasis Lotion lessons need for prescription steroid creams found HERE.

Over the years, I've found products that I like.......but never the perfect combination.

Skin MD comes close. Very close. I need a little more time using it to decide. The formulation I tried is the Shielding Lotion. It can be used on the face, hands and body. It is light, and more so, fragrance free, which is really import to me. It doesn't feel oily going on, and forms a protective shield on the outer layer of the skin. It really does leave my skin feeling hydrated without being weighed down. I also do not feel stickiness on my skin which sometimes happens with other products. I did not try this on my face as my face is super (SUPER) sensitive and I break out very easy and am currently using prescription creams,

Skin MD is made in the US and is specially formulated using high quality natural ingredients making it over 90% all natural with all ingredients being of food grade and on the FDA's most safe list. It is free of harmful fragrances, parabens, and colorants making it hypoallergenic. They do no participate in animal testing nor does the lotion contain any animal products.

A shielding lotion is unlike any other conventional, artificial moisturizers because it works with the skin to naturally moisturize and heal. Most conventional, artificial moisturizers only add moisture to the surface of the skin, but do little to repair the skin's natural barrier against moisture robbing irritants. Skin MD Natural breaks the dry skin cycle by working to help restore skin's natural protective abilities by bonding to the outer layer of skin, strengthening skins natural barrier against toxins and irritants that can dry the skin, while locking in the skin's natural oils.

If you'd like to give Skin MD a try (and I highly suggest you do), you can buy Skin MD lotions at skinMDNatural.com or click on the site to find a nearby pharmacy that carries it or you can order a free sample from their site.

I'm definitely going to look into this. My son has eczema that is mostly controlled, but he stil has flare ups.
And after looking at the website, I think my MIL could use it. She has thyroid problems so has super dry skin. She has severe allergies so alot of lotions with scents aggravate her.
Thanks for the new info!

I have eczema and this stuff sounds wonderful. The fact that it has six times greater moisturizing factor than glycerin is amazing.

I have a little spot of eczema on my chin that just won't go away. I'd love to try the protective qualities of SkinMD's shielding lotion--I never thought of it as keeping moisture in, rather than just adding it.

I found out that : A shielding lotion keeps moisture-robbing irritants away from the skin while the proprietary "super" humectants hydrate the skin throughout the day.
I looked for this product in two different stores and couldn't find it. So I really need to win this one. My skin is screaming for help - can you hear it? (help me, help me...)

I learned that this is non-greasy. I would like to just say though that after reading your story ( I am new here) if you are looking for hope I have it!!! Our son has had severe food allergies and Eczema since he was a baby and we tried everything. Nothing worked and he was diagnosed as steroid dependent bc his allergist kept giving him more and ore of the awful stuff. It was so terrible for him and for our family.

We were told about Bellyboost probiotics for kids and we knew we wanted something safe and natural to try. It has been an absolute miracle in our life. It started to clear his skin up dramatically within the first week or two and he can now eat all kinds of foods and he looks and feels great! I have a mommy blog where you can come read more details :) smilinggreenmom.com *I would love to share our story and help others! Lynn

I learned that dry skin occurs because we have stripped away the outer skin's protective elements. Dry skin is a cry for help.

A Shielding Lotion is far more effective as a dry skin treatment than conventional moisturizing lotions or protective creams! Thanks for the chance.

I have called my skin "moisture deprived" for years and love that SkinMD thinks that without their product, skin is "robbed of its natural moisture." I would love to try this product.
