WoRdLeSs WeDnEsDaY

I was finally able to snap off a photo of the baby swans from the nest/egg/swan photo that we tried to capture last month (if you recall my son was chased by the poppa swan and LOVED it!) These baby swans were so elusive after they were born, momma hiding them in the weeds and I could never get close enough to snap off a shot. On Sunday they moved to the retention pond across the street from my house and I was finally able to capture them. They were so cute, cleaning their feathers like momma swan!

I don't think I've ever seen baby swans before.

Milk and Honey Mommy July 28, 2009 11:50 PM

They are beautiful birds. Are they also as beautiful as neighbors? We used to have peacocks that strolled across our property. Peacocks are beautiful birds, but they sure are messy and although they didn't chase us, they sure gave our cats a hard time.

Those pictures of your son being chased are so GREAT. I can't believe you were snapping pictures while he was being chased though. I don't think I would have thought of taking a picture. And the one of your girls, that's pretty funny too.

Great photos! enJOY your Thursday!

Live.Love.Eat July 30, 2009 12:19 PM

Too funny. Getting chased by a swan would make me hysterically gitty.

I have a question for you: I think you have a Mac, yes? If so, what is your preferred method for printing photos. Do you burn to a CD and have a place print them or...? I have a MAc for a while now and I have uploaded to Kodak Gallery in the past with success but I have too many now and it is so slow.

Becca July 30, 2009 12:57 PM

Baby animals are so cute and most are so elusive as well!

Momisodes July 30, 2009 2:42 PM

I remember the shots of your son being chased! The baby swan look wonderful.

3 Bay B Chicks July 30, 2009 5:53 PM

Fun fact: A baby swan is called a signet.

I learn most everything I need to know reading to my son at night. :)

Wonderful pics!
