About Me

ME: born in a very small rural town in Iowa with a populations of less than 5000 population. At the time during my childhood, I could not have been the wiser as to how SMALL The city I was growing up in actually was. I was not exposed to any other cultures, NONE. Therefore I believe I was never able to develop any prejudices against any other cultures. I love this about myself and it is the only thing that I take from growing up in a small town as positive. Today (and for the past 20 + years) I hate anything small town related. As a teenager, I was gagging to get out of that environment and the day after I graduated from high school, I was on an airplane to Chicago and have never looked back.

Hubbie: Met this big brute of a man when he was35 years old. I knew I was going to marry him. Literally, this is the first thought that came into my head when I saw him. We didn't even speak for the next year. He was such a complete jack arse. He has since been forgiven. Since he was a bachelor for so long, he really has no clue about women. Seriously, but I wouldn't change him for the world, okay, maybe if he picked up his things a bit more, that would make me really happy. He's awesome, and treats me well. I couldn't have asked for a better partner in life. (He's 47 years old right now)

SON: My first born (7 years old already) . . . oh how I love this boy. Oh how I worry about this boy. His tender little heart is going to be broken so many times. He is so caring of others that I fear everyone will just trample down his back. He is a good Christian child and very gifted. I wish we could put him in a better school becuase he is THAT smart. He still likes to sleep in our bed and I am so okay with that, I just wish he would shrink a bit!

DAUGHTER: (5 years old) Oh this girl is delicious. She is a peeerfect little mini me. She is so gorgeous she is going to break so many boys hearts. She is feisty, loud, stubborn and so stinking adorable. She has stomped her own path since birth really and I don't worry too much about her. I will later though as she will struggle with her independence. I know this well. I will be there for her . . . always.

BABY GIRL: (2 years old) Oh, my delicious treat . . . my third child who I never thought I would hold! She is so cute and cuddly and I adore her so much. She sleeps with me, she goes to the bathroom with me, she sits behind me in my chair while I blog, she helps me fold clothes . . . she lives in my back pocket you see. She is always happy and has a ready "Big Hug" for momma.
